zZz (NL)
Het Amsterdamse duo zZz bestaat uit Daan Schinkel (orgel) en Björn Ottenheim (zang en drums). zZz drink je als een verradelijke cocktail van sexy garage trance, rauwe electro en vuige rock&roll, om vervolgens te belanden in een spiraal van sferische psychedelica. Hun geniale debuut 'Sound of zZz' (Excelsior) dateert uit 2005 en is in 2006 ook in de VS gereleased. Daar tourde zZz maar liefst 16 weken en speelde het duo o.a. op South By South West. Later dat jaar speelde de band ook nog in verre landen als Japan en Rusland waar de plaat ook is uitgebracht. Het succesverhaal ging maar door! In 2007 speelde zZz op grote festivals als het Schotse Glastonbury, Rock Otoccu in Slovenië, het Belgische Dour en Les Mediterraneenes in Frankrijk. Met het 2e album 'Running with the Beast' alweer op komst (de release staat gepland voor november) is het Amsterdamse duo zZz terug van nooit weggeweest.
